The Summer season of Night Tennis with the Club starts on the 30th January and runs through to the 3rd April. For more information about Night Tennis click here.

Spring Night Tennis Wraps Up!

What a fun time we’ve all had out at Night Tennis this Spring. We had 2 Divisions running this season, with the Finals Night being played on the 19th December. Some players got into the spirit of things with various Christmas themed accessories and outfits.

Div 2 Premiers this season were the Labradoodles – Captain James L, April P, Matt P, Shaun C and injured player Alice P (team pictured below). Well done team!! Well done also to Shaun who received the Best Stats Award for Division 2. Runners up in this division were the English Sheepdogs – Sandra W, Michael D, Vic Z, with absent team members Richard C and Caryn K not being able to make the final. Many thanks to James H who filled the gap for the team!

The Div 1 comp was very strong this season. The final was very close indeed, with the Border Collies (Eric H, Robyn H, Mary Y, Amy P and Bill P, pictured below) sneaking ahead by just 3 games at the end of the night, to runners up Siberian Huskies – Josh W, Mal M, Anna D, Andrew M and Jackie M. Great game guys! Best Stats Award for Div 1 went to Robyn H. You go girl!

A special BIG BIG thank you to the lovely Chris Geue (seen below) who has again assisted me with putting teams together, opening up courts, packing up at the end of the night, and acting as a second set of ears to help me make decisions – Chris I love you being my Deputy!

Tennis Holiday Clinics

Want something to keep the kids occupied during the January school holidays?

TP Tennis Coaching are running 5 days of coaching clinics at Littlehampton Tennis Club

Dates: Monday 8th January to Friday 12th January

Times: 9am-10am, 1oam-11am, 11am-12noon

Where: Anembo Park , Princes Hwy, Littlehampton

Cost: $10 for 1 session, $45 for 5 sessions, $80 for 10 sessions

Feel free to mix and match the sessions as you please! You can book into all 3 sessions on one day or a mixture of single, double or triple sessions throughout the week!

The bulk session prices will be applied per booking (not per child). So if you are booking 2 kids in for 5 sessions each (10 sessions total), the cost will be $80 for the two kids.

Spring Night Tennis – Registrations closing soon!

The Spring/Term 4 Night Tennis Competition kicks off on Tuesday 17th October. Registrations close next Monday 2nd October at 5.00pm. The competition is limited to 60 players, and we already have 48 signed up. If you’d like to play competitive tennis in a very social environment, check out the Night Tennis Page for more information.

Littlehampton Junior Tour- Gold Level 9th Oct to 13th Oct Registrations closing 11.59pm Sat 30th

The annual Littlehampton Junior ranking points tournament is being held from Monday 9th October to Friday 13th October at Anembo Park. Registrations are now open and close at 11.59pm on Saturday 30th September. It is a Gold level tournament and there will be 18′s and under, 16′s and under, 14′s and under, 12′s and under and 10′s and under in both boys and girls singles and doubles events. To register go to Tennis Australia and search for tournaments or login with your tennis account and go to the tournaments tab.

Free Hot Shots Come and Try Day

Never played tennis before? Want to learn new skills in a fun, non-competitive environment? Then come and try Hot Shots. Hot Shots uses modified equipment designed especially for younger children and is suitable for children from 4 years of age. A prize for every child who attends.

Date: Sunday September 17th between 2.30 and 4.00pm

Registrations closing soon for Senior and Junior Saturday Tennis-register NOW!

Littlehampton Tennis Club is now taking registrations for Senior and Junior Saturday tennis which commences in October.

Seniors: We will field teams in Traditional Men’s, Traditional Ladies and Doubles. The Hills Tennis Association has introduced a new Doubles Comp this season as well as maintaining the existing one. Division 1 doubles will be a team of 4 men and 4 women and will play 16 sets of doubles. Division 2 and below will be a 4 person team, gender neutral and in order of merit. They will play either 12 or 14 sets of doubles (to be voted on and confirmed).

Registrations to play in the senior comp this season will be through a player’s Tennis Australia account. If you have an account already please log in and scroll down the page and search for Littlehampton Tennis Account. Click “join this club” and complete the information and you are reigstered to play. If you haven’t yet created your Tennis Account then you will need to do that first then join Littlehampton. Instructions on how to create and account and join Littlehampton can be found in the attached document. LAST DAY TO REGISTER IS SEPTEMBER 11th AT 9PM.

Term 4 and Term 1 Hot Shots and Coaching

Summer tennis has started. Want to improve your game? Want to play but have no experience? Then register for coaching or Hot Shots.

Coaching can be done in small groups (squads) or private lessons ( 1 or 2 players only). If you wish to participate in private or squad coaching registrations are still open for Term 4. You can get a few weeks in before the Christmas break. Alternatively register now for Term 1 to ensure your place. Hot Shots is a skills based program designed for children from 4-10 with 3 different levels. They learn the skills required to play tennis in a fun, non-competitive environment. The 3 levels are: Red for 4-6 year olds, Orange for 6-8 year olds and Green for 8-10 year olds. All levels are available on Thursday or Friday afternoons from 3.45pm or Sunday mornings from 9am.
