Join in the AO Blitz celebrations at Macclesfield Tennis Club who were announced the national winners in the inaugural AO Blitz after aligning with Australian Open champions Stanislas Wawrinka.

Featuring special guest John Fitzgerald, Former Davis Cup Captain and World Number 1 Doubles Player who will share with you some great tennis stories, past and present.

Your ticket includes a delicious gourmet BBQ dinner under the event marquee at Macclesfield Tennis Club, with the opportunity to mix and mingle with the sports community.

All AO Blitz event proceeds will benefit the development of a new Macclesfield Tennis and Netball clubhouse.

We are looking for someone to take on coordinating the Bunnings BBQ for our club. This is not a huge job – we only do 1 or 2 of these per year. The idea here is to try and take some of the workload of the “usual suspects” that do so much for our club and to try to avoid them getting burnt out.

Here’s roughly what’s involved – we can give you more detail later if you think you might be the person for the job:

• Liase with Bunnings to choose dates for the year – let LTC committee know dates
• Order snags, bread. Organise sauce, utensils etc.
• Collect all food/drink/utensil items on the day and deliver to the BBQ
• Return all food/drink/utensils at the end of the day

Doesn’t sound like much does it? If you are a senior Saturday player, it would certainly qualify for working off your levy. If we can farm out some of these smaller jobs, the current committee will last A LOT longer – every little bit helps. So – how about it?? Do your bit for the club and put your hand up.

• Doors open at 7pm for a 7:30pm start

• Bring lots of coinage for some side games
