The presentation dinner will be held on Grand Final day, Saturday, 23rd of March. Be there at 6:30pm. There’ll be entertainment spread throughout the night with the presentation part of the evening held towards the end. A great time to celebrate some great memories of a fantastic season! The annual Tennis SA awards were held on Friday 9^th November in the function room at Next Generation, Memorial Drive, North Adelaide. Members of Littlehampton Tennis Club attended the evening. The club was a finalist for Country Club of the Year and were thrilled to be announced the winner of this prestigious award. The trophy & prizes were accepted by Wade Hutson, President.

The club was recognised for it’s participation in all levels of tennis including the very popular Hot Shots program, orange and green ball teams, Junior & Senior Saturday tennis, midweek tennis and their own night tennis competition. The club has been working hard to improve it’s facilities with resurfacing of the existing 6 courts in 2011, a new shed and verandah to provide a shady and weatherproof viewing area and new garden beds and  tree planting for shade and beautification of the area.

LTC has recently been recognised as a Regional Centre with an additional 6 courts to be built at Anembo Park, making Anembo the only 12 court venue in the Hills. The club has been working with Tennis SA, Anembo Park Sports & Recreation Association and the District Council of Mount Barker for a number of years to achieve this goal, with the aim of holding Regional and state tournaments at Anembo. The new 6 courts are expected to be built over the summer months ready for the winter tennis season.

Friday 10th August 2012 from 4-5pm at Anembo Park. If you are interested in playing tennis and want to see what it is like come along and have a hit with some of our junior players. Littlehampton Night Tennis is going “In-House”!! That’s right. All night tennis matches during the Autumn Season will be played at our home courts, against other Littlehampton teams. We have an enthusiastic excitable committee who will endeavour to make your night tennis experience one to remember…….

• No more travelling to far-away, mysterious locations – NO!
• No more stipulations about how many men and women we are allowed to field – NO!
• No more playing against complete strangers – NO!
• Lots of friendly fun and great tennis with people you know and love – YES!

Start date: ~ Tuesday 24th / Wednesday 25th, numbers permitting.
Cost: $40 if paid on first night / $50 thereafter

Final details will be worked out once we know how many people are interested, but we would love to hear from anyone and everyone within our tennis community who would like to participate – don’t worry, all levels will be catered for.

We would like to welcome Brett Hollitt to our club. Brett has returned to SA after a couple of years in America working in various tennis roles. Prior to moving to America Brett spent 8 years coaching in Sydney and a year coaching at Somerton Park and Prince Alfred College. Brett played at the highest level in Adelaide, played on the professional satellite circuit and participating in many prize money tournaments. Brett was also an USA NCAA Scholarship Athlete with All-American Team and All-Conference Team honours.
Brett is coaching our juniors 3 nights per week and is available for squad and private coaching at all levels. We have 2 squad sessions up and running- Mondays from 3.45-4.45pm and Thursdays from 7.30-8.30pm.
